Harborwright sells the part only — we don't install it. These are general steps; your boat and the maker's manual come first. If you're not sure, have a marine shop fit it.
Safety: Disconnect the battery before wiring and fuse the pump circuit. VEVOR says the pump isn't waterproof, so mount it in a dry spot.
Steps
- Mount the pump in a dry, ventilated spot near the tank on a solid surface, with the inlet and outlet easy to reach.
- Fit the included strainer on the inlet side, then connect the hoses with PTFE tape on the threads and the stainless clamps.
- Wire red to positive through a fuse and switch, and black to negative, using the wire size and fuse in the VEVOR manual.
- Open a faucet, switch on, and let it run until water flows steadily without air.
Follow the maker's manual for your exact model first — it's linked with each part below.
