How to assemble a rolling fishing rod rack

Putting together a rolling rod and tackle cart and loading it.

Harborwright sells the part only — we don't install it. These are general steps; your boat and the maker's manual come first. If you're not sure, have a marine shop fit it.

Safety: Lock the wheel brakes when it's parked, and load heavy tackle on the lowest shelf.

Steps

  1. Lay out the parts and assemble the frame and shelves with the included hardware.
  2. Fit the casters — the locking ones at the corners you'll stand at.
  3. Fit the rod holders, clips or pegboard parts.
  4. Load heavy boxes low, then stand the rods butt-down with the tips held by the clips.
  5. Lock the brakes once it's parked.

Follow the instructions that come in the box for your exact model first.
